Take Back Scheme

Do you know how much commercial waste goes to landfill in the UK every year? 37.2 million tonnes. That’s the weight equivalent to 3 million London double-decker busses in landfill every year. As a manufacturer, we know that we play a part in this, and so have a responsibility to do something about it.

Our new take-back scheme aims to reduce corporate environmental footprint by providing the services to collect furniture at its ‘end-of-life’ and divert from landfill by either:

Reuse

Directly finding a suitable place for the furniture’s second life through our service providers portal, which has over 1100 different charities, school and community groups, and NGOs round the UK.

Rework

Upcycling products that need a little TLC to be put on the portal.

Recycle

Breaking the product down into components to recycle the materials when it has reached it’s true end-of-life.

By choosing our Take Back Scheme, you could reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and, better still, provide furniture to schools and community groups in need. By doing so, you ensure that these schools will receive quality furniture that lasts, and replaces the need for them to purchase low-priced furniture of poor quality that will need replacement quicker, and likely impact the environment more.

The detail

When you have furniture that has reached its end-of-life with you, we can collect that furniture and give it a new life through our recycling partner. We will request an inventory of items that need collecting and discuss the logistics of the job, producing a quote for the service based on the requirements. On completion of the take back scheme, you will receive a sustainability report detailing the environmental savings as well as the financial savings to the community groups receiving the furniture, that your efforts have contributed to and details of how and where the products were reused if applicable.

Benefits

• Responsible disposal of products

• Reduced environmental footprint

• Positive contribution to community groups

• Promoting a circular economy
