We have just received an update from Camira Fabrics, who has confirmed there will be minimal disruption to its service following the recent fire at one of its dyeing facilities.
The disruption will result in a delay in the delivery of a small number of products that were due this week and new lead times may also be slightly extended. The delay will be managed to a few days only,
Even though the fire at its plant was a major incident, a successful recovery plan has been implemented. Production has been diverted to two additional plants and work is now resuming at the incident site. Some production has been lost, which could knock a few lead times back by a few days, however, the stock position on the polyester ranges is now very healthy and woollen ranges should not be affected.
