It was a great evening at the University of Northampton's Schools Art Competition last night. As the founding sponsor, Ocee has seen the competition grow from just five schools and 100 entries three years ago, to 22 schools and over 400 entries this year.
The standard was incredibly high, and we are sure that the judges had a difficult job choosing the winners.
The Art competition has become a highlight of our calendar, and we are delighted to sponsor the drawing category prizes and support the work of Principal Lecturer, Dr Ralph Darbyshire and his team at the University.
The entries, from 6th form students all over the County, illustrated the creative talent in our local area. Marketing Manager, Kate Mulcahey from Ocee presented the prizes to
1st Prize of £500: Natalie Rogers for ‘Anita’ (Kettering Buccleuch Academy)
2nd Prize of £250: Martin Darker for ‘Mother’ (Weavers Academy)
3rd Prize of £100 Rachel McMahon for ‘Cambridge Tower’ (Wellingborough School)
Natalie and her School Kettering Buccleuch Academy also won the award for the Most Outstanding Work in the Exhibition.
